Here I am sitting in the bow of a longtail boat (the most abundant boat in Thailand) at the beginning of our 4 Island Tour. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were excited to see some different beaches around Koh Lanta. The snorkeling was amazing! At one point, they threw watermelon into the water right next to me and about 300 fish were swarming around me. It was neat to snorkel around after taking my Coral Reef Ecology class...I knew so many of the fish species!
After snorkeling we went to a BEAUTIFUL island for lunch.
I am representing UNC well with the hat. One person commented on my hat in Krabi and said "Tar heels??" and she ended up being from North Carolina! The 4 Island Tour ended up being just a 3 island tour. Unfortunately it was too rough to go visit the Emerald Cave, but we still had an awesome day.
