This is the view from the roof of the JGSEE building where we have our classes. We had a pretty clear day Monday and were able to catch the last bit of the sunset. It's still slightly cloudy and we are thinking that is in part due to the large amount of smog around Bangkok. We hope that one day there will be a perfectly clear sunset though! The view on the roof is amazing (don't worry, there are tall ledges that keep us safe) and at night you can see the whole Bangkok skyline lit up. I will try to get a photo of that soon!

ReplyDeleteYou know, I once witnessed an amazing sunset when I was still in high school. I was hanging by our rooftop and I saw the sky become miraculously pink, and the clouds became like flowers spread in the sky. It’s like the heaven suddenly transformed into a pink garden. :P I’m sure you‘ll get to witness that magnificent sunset too on your rooftop. Someday. :)

ReplyDeleteYour stress will definitely go away once you see a splendid view like this. I remember those times when I was in college looking at the sunset on my way home on the bus. It’s really wonderful! But it’s more beautiful to look at when you’re on top of the building. You’re not just gonna see the sunset, but the entire city skyline as well. ;)

Well, for me I prefer looking at the stars at night rather than seeing the sunset. I don’t know but I like the feeling. ;) It’s like the atmosphere is very serene and besides, star gazing makes me really happy.

I don’t have a view like that, but like Lino, I also love to staring at the night sky and count the stars! I just hope that in our next house, we’ll have a rooftop where I can stay and relax whenever I can. I can’t wait to see the sunrise!
